Poem & Music project at “SinTexnies” festival
CAMP point
A three-day music festival without any stylistic limitations with the participation of a painter and nine music groups. On the one hand, the painter, Elina Theodoropoulou, “converses” with the modern composer John Cage and is inspired by his graphical scores among others. On the other hand, the musicians present works from the entire spectrum of the academic western tradition, with the sole purpose of communicating and offering an aesthetic enjoyment of music. Each and every one of the participants leaves a personal music trail behind, knowing very well that he or she serves an art that transcends him or her but at the same time redeems him or her from the daily routine of life. Both the performers and the audience have an innate need to relax, to listen, to play, to imagine, to “feel” the purpose of art in a hospitable and open space and finally co-exist with others. This is an obvious human need, which these days has become a challenge. And which might be the purpose of organizing a classical music festival? Because for some “inexplicable” reason, this kind of music energizes our emotions, soothes our soul, defines and balances us.

Ένα τριήμερο μουσικό φεστιβάλ χωρίς στιλιστικούς περιορισμούς στο οποίο συμμετέχουν μία εικαστικός και εννέα μουσικά σύνολα. Η εικαστικός Ελίνα Θεοδωροπούλου συνομιλεί και εμπνέεται από τις γραφιστικές παρτιτούρες, και όχι μόνο, του σύγχρονου συνθέτη John Cage. Από τη μεριά τους οι μουσικοί παρουσιάζουν έργα απ’ όλο το φάσμα της λόγιας δυτικής παράδοσης με μόνη πρόθεση και αξίωση την επικοινωνία και την αισθητική απόλαυση της μουσικής. Καθένας από τους συμμετέχοντες αφήνει το δικό του μουσικό ίχνος γνωρίζοντας πολύ καλά ότι υπηρετεί μια τέχνη που τον ξεπερνά αλλά ταυτόχρονα τον λυτρώνει από τη ρουτίνα της καθημερινότητας. Όλοι, εκτελεστές και ακροατές, έχουν ανάγκη να χαλαρώσουν, να ακούσουν, να παίξουν, να φανταστούν, να νιώσουν τον σκοπό της τέχνης μέσα σε ένα χώρο φιλόξενο και ανοιχτό και τελικά να συνυπάρξουν με τους άλλους. Μια αυτονόητη ανθρώπινη ανάγκη που στις μέρες μας έχει αναχθεί σε ζητούμενο. Και γιατί όλα αυτά μέσα από ένα φεστιβάλ κλασικής μουσικής; Γιατί ακόμα η μουσική αυτή, για κάποιο ανεξήγητο λόγο, ενεργοποιεί το συναίσθημά μας, ηρεμεί την ψυχή μας, μας προσδιορίζει και μας ισορροπεί.
